Pennsylvania requires any trailer over 3,000 GVWR (gross vehicle weight rating) to be inspected every year. At Restored Auto, LLC, we offer inspections on any trailer under 10,000 pounds. We have trailer lighting and wiring, and we can get trailer tires the same day as your inspection. Call us today to schedule your trailer inspection.

Towing Capacity refers to the maximum amount of weight your vehicle can tow. When selecting a trailer, it’s important to pick one with a GVWR that’s under your towing capacity. You can consult your vehicle’s owner’s manual for information on the towing capacity and the class or classes of trailers that can fit your vehicle.

GVWR stands for Gross Vehicle Weight Rating. This rating refers to the maximum amount of weight your trailer can be when you’re towing it on the road. The maximum amount includes the weight of the trailer itself.

Payload capacity refers to the amount of weight your trailer can carry. For example, if your trailer weighs 2,000 pounds and has a GVWR of 5,000, that would make your payload capacity 3,000 pounds.
